The small municipal pitch is basic but perfectly located: within walking distance of the village and right on the edge of the landscape.

Saskia explores the well-known caves with Lou and does a long loop up onto the plateau. The landscape here really is something quite special.
Up on the plateau
At night, though, comes the disillusionment: a nearby factory apparently has a faulty alarm system - and it goes off every few minutes. Who needs sleep.
Alhama de Murcia
We head to another of those special places where you end up entirely alone. We drive up to a viewpoint in the badlands near Alhama de Murcia.
The viewpoint
During the day a few people come by now and then to enjoy the view. At night the place belongs entirely to us.

That may also have something to do with the several signs warning against driving up here in a camper. And yes - some of the washouts along the route are genuinely serious.
The signs are not entirely wrong
But places exactly like this are what make this journey so special.
