Back on the Mediterranean

We are back in France and make two stops on the Mediterranean straight away.

The first takes us to the Plage du Lydia. There is a particular mixture here: a view of snow-covered mountains, a harbour, a beach - and of course the famous ship Lydia.

After two relaxed days we move on to Mèze, where we treat ourselves to a thoroughly classic ice cream at a beach bar.

Up the Rhône

We continue north along the Rhône. We find a small pitch right behind the dyke - quiet, secluded and exactly our sort of thing.

While I get on with the working day, Saskia sets off on a hike: down to the lock, across the river and then up to an old castle ruin.

She finishes with 32.5 kilometres on the watch. On a completely ordinary working day.

Aubignas

A little away from the Rhône valley we find a remote small municipal pitch at Aubignas.

The view of this beautiful medieval village - by day and by night alike - combined with complete quiet: a dream.

Naturally we want to walk the area here too, so it is up, down, up and down again, with the occasional view out over the wide Rhône valley.
