The Lech valley
On we go, back to Austria. I picked out a campsite in the Lech valley - and once again did not look too carefully at the route there.
Higher and higher
So we climb further and further through the mountains, the snow gets deeper and deeper - metres of it - and there are skiers all around us. We cross the Hochtannberg Pass and eventually reach Häselgehr. The pitch there is still full of snow too.

The absolute highlight is that our daughter comes to visit from the nearby Allgäu, and we hike up the mountain to the alpine hut together.

Inzell
We continue towards Schladming, but take the faster route through Germany and find a pitch on a farm in Inzell.
A pitch at the forestry farm
Forestry is the business here, so the conversation turns to trucks and stays there for a good long while. There is always a topic.

Saskia uses my working hours for a hike through the local moorland.

Over dinner we then watch a driver overtake a blind man on the pavement, pull up directly in front of him and fling the passenger door open. Some people.
The next day we head on to Schladming.
