Vienna and Schladming 🇦🇹 - Fifty Kilometres and a Workshop

Mammutmarsch, round two
We planned Mammothon’s maintenance appointment so that we could spend a week in Vienna - because there is another Mammutmarsch here.
After the 30 kilometres in Madrid we move up a level and take on 50.
Fifty kilometres ahead
At around kilometre 25 we reach the Nasenweg. It climbs steeply for a fair few metres of elevation and then drops back down again. That slows us somewhat over the final ten kilometres - me in particular, since my feet are no longer entirely on speaking terms with me.

But we reach the finish all the same, after roughly ten hours.

Two weeks without Mammothon
While Mammothon is in the workshop at Krug Expedition, Saskia uses the time to see Vienna properly - a musical included. I work out of the Airbnb in the meantime.

Staff shortages mean the work takes longer than planned, though. So we add a second week in an Airbnb in Schladming.
At least: more elevation to collect
At least that means fresh opportunities to gain some altitude.

But honestly, two weeks without Mammothon drag considerably more than we had expected. A shower with unlimited hot water is lovely - but you miss your own home on wheels faster than you would think.
