Pinzgau and Tyrol ๐ฆ๐น - Finally on the Road Again
Sven Walther
Wald im Pinzgau
We are finally on the road again. Our route takes us right across Austria and eventually into the Pinzgau, where we set up camp in the small village of Wald im Pinzgau.

Krimml Waterfalls
From here we take on three larger hikes straight away. The first goes to the Krimml Waterfalls - and not just the falls themselves, but the walk out from Wald and back as well.

Out in the Pinzgau
The second climbs the Gernkogel - a serious outing, with some still impressive snowfields near the summit. But Saskia would not be Saskia if that stopped her.

There is still snow at the top
Weer in Tyrol
Our last pitch in Austria. Before we head off on our “home holiday”, we make one final stop in Weer in Tyrol.

Over the Gerlos Pass
The drive there goes over the Gerlos Pass - and working your way up and down through the Alps on hairpins is simply enjoyable every single time.

Weer, Tyrol
In Weer things go the way they usually do: while I get on with the working day, Saskia explores the area on foot and diligently racks up more altitude.

Alpine air one more time
Mountains once more, fresh alpine air once more, and one more chance to enjoy the quiet before the next chapter begins.
